Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises Engineer Elias Mubanga MP has called on the financial institutions in Zambia to increase funding to MSMEs in order to grow the economy.
Speaking during the launch of the Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission 2022- 2026, Honorable Mubanga singled out ZANACO, NATSAVE, ZICB and ZCGS and DBZ as institutions that had the ability to change the landscape of MSMEs in Zambia by offering affordable financing. He further urged the sector players to have a deliberate gathering where efforts to support MSMEs would be discussed and implemented.
He also called upon CEEC to work with these financial institutions in order to increase their ability to offer loan products to Zambian MSMEs.
